Call for Nominations: Caledon Walk of Fame
August 12, 2025 (CALEDON, ON) – The Town of Caledon is now accepting nominations for the 2026 Caledon Walk of Fame. From August 11 to October 6, residents are invited to help celebrate exceptional individuals who have made significant contributions to Caledon or brought national or international recognition to the community.
Nominees may be recognized in a variety of fields, including arts and culture, community service, education, environment, and more. Full nomination criteria and submission details are available at Caledon.ca/WOF.
“The Walk of Fame is a proud tradition in Caledon, celebrating those whose passion, leadership and talent have left a lasting legacy,” said Mayor Annette Groves. “We encourage everyone to nominate someone whose story deserves to be shared and remembered.”
The Caledon Walk of Fame is located in the Trans Canada Trail Pavilion Park in Caledon East. Inductees are honoured once every term of Council during a formal ceremony and recognized with a commemorative stone placed along the trail.
“The Walk of Fame is one way we celebrate the people who help shape Caledon’s identity and strengthen our sense of community,” said Judith D’Souza Soares, Commissioner of Community Services. “By recognizing individuals who have made a lasting impact, we’re supporting our strategic priorities of building a connected, engaged, and proud Caledon.”
The deadline for nominations is Monday, October 6, 2025. Nominations will be reviewed by a selection committee, with the 2026 inductee(s) to be announced in early 2026.
