Caledon to celebrate the Grand Opening of the Caledon East Community Complex Expansion

CALEDON, ON (September 7, 2023) –The Town of Caledon will be holding a Grand Opening Celebration event on Saturday, September 16, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., to commemorate the completion of the 52,000-square-foot expansion of the Caledon East Community Complex (CECC).

“We are excited to showcase this newly expanded facility and celebrate having this first-class community complex available in Caledon East,” said Mayor Annette Groves. “We are committed to providing quality recreational facilities for our community in an effort to promote active, healthy lifestyles, and locations where the community can gather for a variety of events.”

“It’s important to celebrate the completion of a project that will have such a positive impact on the community,” said CAO Nathan Hyde. “Our staff have worked tirelessly to put the finishing touches on the CECC and I encourage residents to come out on Saturday, September 16 to see all the new features, take advantage of some free programs, have a tour of the building and more.”

The CECC is now open for programs and services. We encourage residents to take advantage of a variety of programs and activities for all age levels, including:

  • Fitness Classes – Such as: Forever Fit, Body Blast, Bootcamp, Sculpt, Zumba, Essential Endurance.
  • Gymnasium – Drop-in Basketball, Pickleball, Badminton, Volleyball.
  • Walking Track.
  • Skating – Drop-in Shinny and Public Skates.
