Canada HomeShare Logo

Partnering with The Canada HomeShare Program, NICE (National Initiative for the Care of the Elderly), and the Region of Peel, the Peel HomeShare Pilot Program is preparing to launch for one year with a proposed twenty matches between older residents and students throughout Caledon, Brampton and Mississauga.

As an intergenerational initiative, HomeShare programs are built on the principles of social exchange and are more than a way to share a room. It is a program designed to empower older adults to successfully age-in-place for as long as possible and remain engaged in their communities while providing safe and affordable housing options for students.

For general inquiries on the Pilot Program or if you are interested in applying to the program, please go online to Canada HomeShare - Region of Peel - or call 1-800-786-9733 x 5
