Visit Caledon Tourism Marketing Efforts Receive National Recognition

The Town of Caledon was recognized this week by the Economic Developers Association of Canada (EDAC) with an award in the 'Single Publication' category of the 2023 EDACMarketing Canada Awards.

“The Town of Caledon was recognized by EDAC for our marketing efforts with the Visit Caledon tourism brand, through our 'Patio Season is Calling' print ad this past summer,” said Jason Schildroth, Manager Recreation and Culture. “Caledon’s scenic areas, villages and hamlets are vibrant and welcoming to residents and visitors. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, enhanced marketing of Caledon’s local businesses, restaurants, and tourist attractions was a key recovery initiative put in place by Council.”

As part of this initiative, the Visit Caledon team created a unique print ad to showcase local craft beverage makers and restaurants in a creative campaign that also highlights Caledon’s scenic areas as significant assets to the Town’s tourism economy.

The Tourism and Culture team created the Visit Caledon brand during the COVID-19 pandemic to encourage visitors and residents to explore local attractions in Caledon.  Caledon is a beautiful, green, outdoor escape and a perfect daytrip from the Greater Toronto Area. Visit Caledon uses creative marketing strategies to encourage visitors and residents to explore areas and villages they may not have seen before.
