November 16, 2023 – Earlier this fall, Caledon Fire and Emergency Services earned a significant rating that may lower insurance rates for rural residents and commercial businesses. Effective October 2, 2023, Caledon Fire earned Superior Tanker Shuttle Service Accreditation, certifying the department’s ability to provide water for fighting fires in rural areas of town for all nine fire stations in Caledon.

November 16, 2023 (Caledon, ON) - The Town of Caledon continues to attract top talent, proudly welcoming Mr. Steven Dickson, CIC.C, as the newly appointed Commissioner of Corporate Services/Chief Legal Officer.

Mr. Dickson brings extensive municipal legal experience to Caledon, most recently from the Region of Peel as the Deputy Regional Solicitor. Prior to working with the Region, Steven spent 10 years as Legal Counsel for the Cities of Mississauga and Hamilton.

Tonight, in a Special Council meeting staff presented an overview of the regional transition process and Council approved a new capital project funded from the Tax Capital Contingency Reserve. The project will support Peel dissolution work and the retention of experts in legal, finance and analysis.
