Town of Caledon recognized for environmental leadership

The Town of Caledon recently received multiple environmental leadership awards for municipal and corporate achievements in the areas of energy conservation, waste diversion and environmental performance. These environmental leadership efforts will help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, save on energy costs and reduce land-fill waste.

The savory smell of freshly grilled burger patties, the sound of laughter infused with music, and a cheerful welcome by the owner Bruno Bertone; you know you have arrived at Cheeks Bar and Grill. The small family restaurant on King Street in Bolton has been serving residents and visitors for 30 years, and they are still going strong. The 2018 to 2022 Town of Caledon Council was sworn in tonight at a special inaugural meeting of Council.
In front of a large crowd of family, friends, members of the public and media, Justice of the Peace Valerie G. Carty officiated as the Mayor and each Member of Council read the Declaration of Office.
The new Town of Caledon Council is comprised of:

Caledon welcomes UPS Canada

The Town of Caledon is the home for UPS Canada’s new $200 million, 850,000 sq. ft. advanced scanning and sortation facility. The small package operations hub will provide UPS with additional processing and service capacity to the GTA.
Fully automated, the new Caledon facility, anticipated to open in late 2020, will sort up to 35,000 packages per hour and house a fleet of more than 200 package cars.
