Caledon lifts Winter Parking Ban and Significant Weather Event Declaration

February 4, 2022 - The Town of Caledon has lifted the winter parking ban and significant weather warning effective immediately in respect to the following weather hazards: winter storm, flash freeze and freezing rain.
Residents and visitors are reminded that vehicles may still be ticketed and/or towed if they interfere with normal snow removal operations. Even when there is no warning in place use caution when using roads and sidewalks.

January 21, 2022 -- The Town of Caledon is sending a full delegation of staff and elected representatives to the annual Rural Ontario Municipal Association (ROMA) conference starting January 23 to push for more support on issues like broadband; affordable housing; public transit and climate change.

January 18, 2022 – The Town of Caledon and City of Vaughan have received a commitment from Minister of Transportation of Ontario Caroline Mulroney that the proposed Caledon-Vaughan GO rail line is moving forward, with Metrolinx now being directed to advance the business case for the project as the region awaits the release of the Greater Golden Horseshoe Transportation Plan update.

January 7, 2022 – The Town of Caledon is continuing to meet essential municipal service requirements while experiencing increased staff absences due to the Omicron variant.

As announced by the province on January 3, 2022, Ontario is temporarily moving to modified step two of the roadmap to reopen. Various Town services and programs will be affected.
Recreation facilitiesAs of January 5, 2022, Town of Caledon indoor recreation amenities will be temporarily closed and programs and services suspended until further notice.
