This week, a delegation, led by Mayor Allan Thompson advocated for Caledon at the annual Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) conference from August 14 to 17, 2022.

August 10, 2022 – Today, the Town of Caledon held a groundbreaking ceremony celebrating the new baseball diamonds that will be part of a new sports park located at the corner of Duffy’s Lane and Emil Kolb Parkway in Bolton.

Funded entirely through development charge revenue, the new sports park will feature two baseball diamonds with lighting, a parking lot and reserved space for a future washroom/change room building.

The deadline is fast approaching if you are thinking of running in the Town of Caledon 2022 Municipal and School Board Election. To become a candidate, you must file a Nomination with the Clerk by August 19, 2022 at 2 p.m.  

You are eligible to run as a candidate for the position of Mayor, Regional Councillor, Councillor and School Board Trustee, if you are: 

  • a Canadian citizen;

Please note, Town of Caledon offices and non-emergency services including recreation, library and Provincial Offences Courts, in Orangeville and Caledon East, will be closed on Monday, August 1, 2022.

Former Railway Corridor Closed to Public

July 15th the Region of Peel, City of Brampton, Town of Caledon and City of Mississauga announced the acquisition of approximately 51km of the former Orangeville Brampton Railway corridor which run from the Caledon-Orangeville boundary to just north of Streetsville. The rail corridor will eventually be converted to a continuous trail linking the municipalities and unifying the Trans Canada Trail system.
