April 6, 2023 – On Tuesday April 11, at the Planning and Development Committee meeting, Council will be receiving advice in a closed session from legal counsel about the proposed Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law Amendment Applications for CBM Aggregates. Applications of this magnitude are complex and it’s important Council receives legal advice related to the various legislative and regulatory processes to assist them as the process unfolds.

Dead geese in Caledon test positive for Avian Influenza

CALEDON, ON (March 30, 2023) – The Canadian Wildlife Health Cooperative (CWHC) has confirmed dead geese in Caledon tested positive for avian influenza – also known as bird flu.
Caledon’s Municipal Law Enforcement division followed up on reports of dead geese in a storm water pond in Bolton on Friday, March 17. CWHC tested the specimens and avian influenza was confirmed to be the cause of death.

Council approved strategies from the Town’s Visitor Management Task Force to improve the overall experience for visitors, businesses and residents in Caledon. Town of Caledon wishes everyone a happy and safe Easter. Please note, Easter closure dates vary. Town offices and non-emergency services will be closed on Friday, April 7 and open on Monday April 10, 2023.
