New burn permit application offers more choice, convenience

Property owners in Caledon can now buy a burn permit from a newly updated online application that offers more choice and the convenience of 7/24 availability.

“Our residents want to access Town services when it makes sense for THEM,” said Mayor Allan Thompson.  “With our online burn permit application they don’t have to make a trip during the day or fill out paperwork. They can go online anytime and get a permit, fast.”

Darryl Bailey has been appointed Fire Chief of the Town of Caledon. This appointment follows Bailey’s appointment of Acting Fire Chief late last year.

Town of Caledon Fire & Emergency Services would like to advise the public that Health Canadahas issued a recall which involves the Kidde NightHawk talking combo smoke/CO Alarm KN-COSM-IBCA and KN-COSM-ICA models with manufacture dates between June 1, 2004 and March 2011. The alarms are hard-wired into a home's electric power.
