Annual Report highlights 2018 key milestones and successes

The Town of Caledon has released its Annual Report, highlighting important accomplishments in 2018. This includes fiscal responsibility, infrastructure enhancements, and ongoing strategic planning – all of which has continued to position Caledon as a financially responsible and stable municipality that is focused on building community capacity and planning for its future.

“I want to thank the entire staff team for their work in 2018,” said Mayor Allan Thompson. “This Annual Report is an example of real results and exceptional financial reporting. We’ve been busy delivering on a number of priorities in the Council Work Plan and the TEAM Caledon corporate strategic plan which is highlighted in the Annual Report, along with investing back into infrastructure for Caledon residents.”

Caledon’s strategic investments have, and will continue to place the Town in a strong financial position for years to come. The collaborative approach to building the 2018 budget has resulted in a successful year of serving the various needs of the community while ensuring responsible fiscal planning for the future.

The Town is committed to transparency when communicating its financial position to residents and businesses. The Government Finance Officers Association has recognized the Town for the last six consecutive years (fiscal years ending 2012-2017) for producing well-organized and understandable annual financial reports.
