Heritage Caledon Awards of Excellence presented at Town Hall

The Town of Caledon and Heritage Caledon presented Awards of Excellence on June 5, 2018 for two local restoration projects and plaques to mark the heritage designation of two historically significant buildings in Caledon.

“We have such a rich architectural history in Caledon,” said Mayor Allan Thompson.  “These awards and plaques being presented are tokens of our deep appreciation to the property owners who have helped preserve and restore that heritage.”

At a ceremony at Town Hall on June 5, 2018 the Town of Caledon presented the Senior of the Year award to Ken Graydon.

The Town of Caledon will host a lunch and learn with the Environmental Commissioner of Ontario (ECO), Dr. Dianne Saxe, who will discuss Ontario’s environmental performance and progress towards climate change action. The Town of Caledon today presented its inaugural Accessibility Award for Business to KeyKeeper, a manufacturer of secure night drop boxes and key drop boxes located in Bolton.

Tourism Week highlights the best of Caledon

The Town of Caledon marked the beginning of Tourism Week (May 27 to June 2, 2018) with a flag-raising ceremony at Town Hall on Monday, May 28, 2018.
