The Town of Caledon regulates traffic on roads within Caledon's jurisdiction to ensure the safe movement of traffic and pedestrians.  Caledon Parking Enforcement Officers and the Ontario Provincial Police enforce both the Town of Caledon Traffic By-law and the Region of Peel's Traffic By-law

Any vehicles found in contravention of the by-laws may be served with a ticket or summons and possibly towed away at the owner's expense. Parking violation fines may be issued for up to $5,000.00. If the fine is not paid in time the Provincial Offences Court will deal with the matter, at which time court costs may be added.

Most penalty notices will be issued to the vehicle but there may be times that penalty notices will be be sent by mail.  This option of service by mail will be used when a vehicle drives away and the officer is not able to place the penalty on the vehicle.  For any penalty served by mail there is an additional administrative fee attached to the fine amount.
