Traffic Safety Advisory Committee

Mandate

The Committee will provide a community perspective on road safety issues on Town of Caledon roads involving all vehicle types. The goal of the Committee is to enhance road safety and promote responsible driver behaviour through education, public engagement and advocacy.

Committee Roles

The Committee shall provide advice to Council, through community and stakeholder engagement, on the following key objectives:

a) Provides a community perspective on road safety, illegal commercial vehicle operation issues and community safety and wellbeing.

b) Promote public awareness, outreach and education for road safety initiatives and programs, with an aim to enhance community participation and cooperation and foster a culture of safety for all.

c) Receive and consider recommendations provided by the Illegal Land Use Task Force and the Active Transportation Task Force relevant to their respective mandates.
