Property Tax Deferral Changes

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 response, all remaining 2020 property tax payments will be deferred by approximately two months for taxpayers. As a result of the revised 2020 due dates, your Final 2020 Property Tax bill will be sent to you in August rather than the normal June timeframe.

Revised Due Dates

Revised Tax Payment Dates
Original Due Date Revised Due Date
May 7* July 2**
July 2 September 3
September 3 November 5

*May 7 - taxpayers can still provide payment by this date
**July 2 - if deferring to this date, all NSF, interest and late payment charges be waived from March 24, 2020 to July 2, 2020.

Post-Dated Cheques

For those that have already provided the Town with a post-dated cheque(s) please fill out this cancellation form if you would like your post-dated cheque(s) deposited on July 2, 2020 or if you have other direction on what to do with the cheque such as have it cancelled or have the date changed.

Note: If you decide to cancel your post-dated cheque, it will be securely shredded and it will be your responsibility to provide an alternate means of payment by the deferred due date of July 2, 2020.

Pre-Authorized Payment (PAP) Program

April payments will be processed as normal.

If you wish to participate in the tax deferral program, you may withdraw from the PAP program May 2020 onwards. Please fill out this cancellation form if you would like to withdraw.

Note, if you withdraw from the PAP program, you should make alternate arrangements to make your tax payments by the new due dates. Also, if you withdraw from the PAP program for 2020 but wish to continue on PAP in the future, you will have to re-apply again.
