Dispute Penalty Notice

By choosing to dispute the Penalty Notice, you understand that the matter will be referred to a Screening Officer for review. Under the governing rules, the Screening Officer cannot apply the reduced early payment amount. If they uphold the penalty, the decision must be issued at the full set amount. The reduced amount is only available for voluntary payment before a dispute is filed. Once a dispute is submitted, the penalty reverts to the set amount because the review process involves a formal decision rather than a negotiated settlement.
Once the Town of Caledon has received your Screening Review Request a Screening Officer will respond within sixty (60) days via email. If you do not receive a response within this timeframe, please check your junk or spam folder.
