Regional Council Composition

On Thursday, December 17, 2020 the Region of Peel held a public meeting to obtain input from the public on a proposed by-law to change the composition of Regional Council

Following the public meeting, the proposed by-law was considered at the Special Regional Council Meeting. At the meeting, Regional Council approved the by-law to reallocate seats on Regional Council, the effect of which will reduce Caledon’s representation from five to three seats as of the 2022 Term of Council. The three persons representing the Town of Caledon will include the Mayor and two other persons selected as specified by a Town of Caledon by-law.
