Transportation Planning

Transportation Planning is a process to recommend a vision and implement a plan to address existing and future transportation challenges, such as congestions, safety concerns, and environmental and public health issues.

Transportation Engineering projects and Policy & Sustainability projects articulate planning, issues and potential solutions that are suitable to the communities in Caledon.

Sustainable Transportation

In the Town of Caledon, a geographically vast municipality, transportation is of particular environmental concern. Smart commuting, through active transportation, carpooling and alternate fuels (whether biodiesel, hybrid or electric vehicles) is encouraged to reduce the environmental impact of transportation.

Consider using the following methods of sustainable transportation instead of driving your car.

  • Active transportation (cycling, walking)
  • Transit
  • Carpooling
  • Telework/Telecommuting
