Land Use and Employment

Bolton Commercial Policy Review

The Town of Caledon undertook the Bolton Commercial Policy Review, which was completed in 2007 to review the appropriateness of the existing commercial policy framework in Bolton.

One of the key recommendations of the Commercial Policy Review was that the Town should seek a site for a supermarket to serve the North Hill residents.

Technical studies to support a settlement expansion for the supermarket site in the North Hill and employment land west of Coleraine Drive have been completed and a ROPA application was submitted to the Region on September 21, 2010.

Employment Land Needs Study

The Employment Land Needs Studies are incorporated into our Community Plans which can be found in Action Plans, Studies and Reports.

The Employment Needs Studies are undertaken to ensure that an adequate supply of employment land is available to provide opportunities for economic development, provide jobs and meet provincial policy requirements to provide employment lands to meet long term needs.
