Our Sources

Every five years, Statistics Canada conducts an official Census. The most recent census was conducted in May 2016. The Region of Peel, through the Peel Data Centre, collects data from Statistics Canada and other sources and publishes it for the Region as a whole, and for the local municipalities.

According to the 2016 mid-year estimates, Caledon is home to 69,500 people. This considers the population undercount, which is used to account for the number of people missed by the census.
