Description of Property

The subject lands are located on the North side of Pine Avenue, west of Mount Hope Road and east of Highway 50 at 200 Pine Avenue.   The legal description of the subject lands is Part Lot 27, Concession 6 and 7 (ALB), Ward 4.

Purpose and Effect of the Applications

The Town of Caledon is initiating an amendment to Comprehensive Zoning By-law No. 2006-50, as amended to rezone the subject lands from Environmental Policy Area 1-ORM (EPA1-ORM), Environmental Policy Area 2-ORM (EPA2-ORM), Open Space-ORM (OS-ORM) and Rural-ORM (A2-ORM) to Environmental Policy Area 1-ORM (EPA1-ORM , Environmental Policy Area 2-ORM (EPA2-ORM), Open Space-ORM (OS-ORM) and Rural Exception X-ORM (A2-X-ORM) to permit additional institutional, commercial and agricultural uses intended to augment the Caledon Equestrian Park following the 2015 Pan American Games.

Status

  • The application is currently being reviewed by internal staff members and external agencies.  A Public Meeting will be held on Tuesday March 21, 2017 to consider the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment.
