The Town of Caledon and the Rotary Club of Bolton are excited to announce a new Bandshell in R.J.A. Potts Memorial Park, in celebration of Bolton’s Bicentennial in 2022.

The proposed Bandshell is expected to promote and encourage local musical and theatrical productions and support creative arts within the community. The Bandshell would also be used for outdoor movie nights and summer camp programs.

Project timeline

  • Spring 2022 - Preliminary and detailed Design - Completed
  • Winter 2023 - Tendering Process
  • Spring 2023 - Construction

Public Meeting 

A Public Meeting will be held to provide residents with details on the planned Rotary Bandshell being installed in R.J.A. Potts Memorial Park. The Town has partnered with the Rotary Club of Bolton to construct this bandshell to celebrate the Village of Bolton’s Bicentennial in 2022.

FAQs

What is the seating capacity?
Approximately up to 500 people.
How can a resident or group book the space?
The bandshell will be available for booking through the Town's rental booking process when construction is complete.
Does the Noise by-law apply to performances? If so, what’s the timing?
The Noise by-law does indeed apply for all performances and bookings; permitted until 10 p.m.
When can the bandshell be used?
The typical rental period for the bandshell will be late spring to early fall. Any rental requests outside of this time frame will be addressed on an as-needed basis.
Who will maintain the facility?
The Town will maintain the bandshell. This includes regular maintenance, repairs and bookings.
