New Traffic Safety Measures

Update (April 1, 2021)

To enhance road safety in Caledon East, the west side of Jean Street from the walkway to Hilltop Drive, will be deemed a no stopping zone. This will be in effect Monday – Friday, 3pm – 4pm, except July and August, effective April 5, 2021.

Community Safety Zones (CSZ)

A CSZ is a designated stretch of road, recognized under provincial legislation, with community safety zone signage. If speeding in a CSZ, fines are doubled.

This helps change diver behavior, including reducing speed and distracted driving. It also improves safety on certain sections of road where public safety is of special concern.
