Animal Care and Control By-law

The Town of Caledon is currently reviewing and updating the Animal Control By-law to incorporate modern best practices and address changing needs within the community with respect to the protection and care of animals. 

Key aspects of the proposal are as follows:

  • Enhancing standards of care for animals;
  • New provisions for protection and care of dogs;
  • Oversight of new programs for feral cats;
  • Consideration of regulations around livestock types; and
  • Improved enforcement tools. 

Learn more and provide your feedback by attending an Open House on March 26, 2019 at Town Hall, starting at 5:00 p.m. 

We also invite you to provide your input by taking a short survey at caledon.ca/survey
