Fireworks By-law Review

The Town of Caledon is currently reviewing and updating the Fireworks By-law to incorporate changing needs within the community, with respect to when fireworks can be discharged.

Key aspects of the proposal are as follows:

  • Recognize Diwali, Chinese New Year and New Year’s Eve as observances
  • Added fire safety requirements when discharging consumer fireworks
  • Maintaining safe distances from vulnerable and industrial properties
  • Set acceptable times for the discharging of fireworks
  • Enhanced enforcement capabilities

Learn more and provide your feedback by attending an Open House on March 26, 2019 at Town Hall, starting at 5:00 p.m. We also invite you to provide your input by taking a short survey at caledon.ca/survey
