Update (May 24, 2018)

TAKE NOTICE that the Council for The Corporation of the Town of Caledon intends to designate the following properties as being of cultural heritage value or interest under Section 29 of the Ontario Heritage Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter O.18:

Moffat Schoolhouse
6500 Patterson Sideroad, Town of Caledon, Regional Municipality of Peel

6500 Patterson Sideroad contains a former red brick schoolhouse built in 1900 for School Section No. 7, Albion Township. The schoolhouse closed in 1963 and was converted to a private residence. Typical of rural Ontario schoolhouses of its period, this local landmark is associated with generations of Caledon East area families.

Wilson Farmhouse
12701 Hurontario Street, Town of Caledon, Regional Municipality of Peel

12701 Hurontario Street contains a stone farmhouse built circa late 1870s for Robert Wilson, the third generation of the Wilson family to farm the property. Constructed of Credit Valley sandstone, the farmhouse is a remarkable example of a High Victorian Gothic style rural stone dwelling.

Any person may, within thirty days of the publication of this notice, send by registered mail or deliver to the Clerk notice of his or her objection to the proposed designations, together with a statement of the reasons for the objection and all relevant facts. If a notice of objection is received, the Council for The Corporation of the Town of Caledon will refer the matter to the Conservation Review Board for a hearing and report.
