Bolton Braves walk off with Fire Safety Award

Fire Safety Award

The Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management presented the Bolton Braves Baseball Association with the 2016 Fire Safety Award for its contribution toward fire safety awareness in the Caledon community.

At a ceremony held at the Famous People Players Theatre in Toronto on June 15, 2016 Laura Boughen accepted the award on behalf of the Braves organization (see attached photo).

As part of the Swing into Summer Safety campaign the Braves teamed up with Caledon Fire and Emergency Services and the Toronto Blue Jays to promote BBQ safety, home fire escape planning, smoke and carbon monoxide alarm awareness and open air burning.  The campaign ran from May to September.  This was the fourth year the organization has supported the campaign
