Special Olympics Torch Run

On Friday, September 13 over 925 students and 10 Special Olympians from Holy Family Elementary School and Allan Drive Middle School along with members of the Caledon Detachment of the OPP participated in the OPP Special Olympics Torch Run.  Together, the schools raised $2026.60 for the Special Olympics.  A special thank you goes to the Bolton Zehrs which donated all the food for the event!

Bike Safety Event

On Saturday, May 17, 2014, Caledon OPP were on hand to host the first Bike Rodeo of the year at the Caledon East Community Complex. The twenty children in attendance received a lesson in proper hand signals and road safety tips, and had officers perform helmet and mechanical inspection on their bikes.  Thank you to all who participated and for those of you who missed it, join Caledon OPP officers for the next Bike Rodeo to be held on September 20, 2014.

2013 Youth Leadership Camp

This year, the Caledon Detachment of the OPP hosted its annual Youth Leadership Camp from August 6 to 9. Local high school students were given the opportunity to engage in a variety of community activities while interacting with the OPP officers.

OPP Grand Opening

The Caledon Ontario Provincial Police detachment celebrated the grand opening of its new headquarters on June 18, 2013. On hand to cut the ribbon were Mayor Marolyn Morrison and her Council, Inspector Rose DiMarco, Commissioner Chris Lewis, Regional Chair Emil Kolb, officers, staff and members of the public. The detachment is located at 15924 Innis Lake Road in Caledon East, Ontario.
