Parking Pass Program

Temporary parking passes for passenger vehicles only are issued if you need to park on the road or in a Town facility (selected facilities only) for longer than three hours or between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. In addition, the Town also offers parking passes for homeowners that are undergoing driveway improvements or are impacted by construction projects undertaken by the Town and/or the Region.

The pass does not allow a vehicle to be parked contrary to any other parking regulations as set out in the Town's Traffic By-law.

Terms and Conditions

  • Each vehicle is entitled to sixteen (16) temporary parking passes per year. 
  • Each vehicle is entitled to an additional seven (7) temporary parking passes per year for driveway improvements or are impacted by construction projects undertaken by the Town and/or the Region.
  • Parking passes are not valid for commercial vehicles, derelict vehicles, unlicensed vehicles or immobile trailers.
  • A parking pass does not allow a vehicle to be parked contrary to any other parking regulations as set out in the Town's Traffic By-law (i.e. parking in a no parking area, fire route, etc.).
  • A parking pass is not valid during a Town issued Winter Parking Ban or during a winter snow or ice event. Please ensure you vehicle(s) is not parked on the road interfering with snow plow operations. 

The Town is not responsible for loss or damage to vehicles while parked on the town road allowance or in a Town owned lot, however caused. This pass does not guarantee a parking space will be available. Any alterations to a pass may be deemed invalid.

How to Apply for a Pass

The Town offers two methods to obtain a parking pass, as outlined below:

Online Option

To obtain a parking pass through the online portal, simply click on the button below. Please be advised that a request for a parking pass will need to be received prior to 1:00 a.m. on the calendar day the pass is required. Requests received after 1:00 a.m. will not be processed.

Phone-In Option

During regular business hours (Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.) contact the Town at 905.584.2272 x. 3462 for assistance.  Please note, you must receive confirmation that your request has been granted, therefore leaving a voicemail message with the vehicle information unfortunately will not be accepted or processed.
