Property Tax Assistance for Low Income Seniors

The Town offers a tax rebate on annual property taxes for low income seniors and low income persons with disabilities who own and occupy their own home. The rebate is applied to your property tax account to offset property taxes. Applications are encouraged by April 30, each year.

Peel Renovates Program

The Region of Peel offers certain financial assistance to seniors and other low to moderate income homeowners through its Peel Renovates Program. There are two streams of funding, which are periodically available.

Caledon Community Services, Transportation

Caledon Community Services (CCS) is pleased to meet the transportation needs of Caledon's seniors, and residents with short or long term disabilities by providing friendly, reliable, door-to-door service 7 days a week. Rides are provided by agency staff in wheelchair accessible vehicles or by car.

Abbeyfield Housing Society of Caledon

The Abbeyfield concept is to provide housing for seniors that reminds them of a home and not an institution. It is designed for active, healthy seniors who are looking to downsize, but still want to stay in the community.

The Davis Centre - Long Term Care Centre The Davis Centre is home to 64 residents. Adult Day Services are offered at this home.

King Nursing Home - Long Term Care Centre King Nursing Home is dedicated to persons with chronic medical disorders who qualify through Community Care Access Centre assessment, and for older frail individuals who can no longer manage.
