Caledon is a well-known destination for cyclists, with its recreational trails and access to varied and challenging road routes.

The newly reconstructed Kennedy Road in Caledon now connects the Etobicoke Creek Trail to the Caledon Trailway, which further links to the Waterfront Trail and the Greenbelt Cycle Route. The reconstruction includes paved shoulders for cyclists and pedestrians, and bike route signs.  These routes and trailways help join together Caledon, Brampton and Mississauga.

Wheelchair Bike Share ProgramAccessible Bike Share Program

Cycling should be accessible for all! Caledon’s Wheelchair Bike Share Program makes it possible for riders with special or accessibility needs to be a part of and experience the cycling world.

The tandem bike is available for free hourly or daily rentals. The bike allows participants to sit up front while a rider sits behind and navigates their way through the Caledon trails or road ways. One of the bike’s unique features is it’s fully functioning detachable wheelchair at the front. After arriving at a destination the rider can detach the wheelchair and push the passenger if desired.

Call the Caledon East Community Complex for more details and rental times/availability.
