Your source for all things cycling-related in Caledon

Caledon is a well-known destination for cyclists, with its recreational trails and access to varied and challenging road routes.

The newly reconstructed Kennedy Road in Caledon now connects the Etobicoke Creek Trail to the Caledon Trailway, which further links to the Waterfront Trail and the Greenbelt Cycle Route. The reconstruction includes paved shoulders for cyclists and pedestrians, and bike route signs.  These routes and trailways help join together Caledon, Brampton and Mississauga.

Bicycle Friendly Communities Workshop

The Town of Caledon and Region of Peel held a Bicycle Friendly Community Workshop on October 23, presented by the Share the Road Cycling Coalition. Share the Road is a provincial cycling advocacy organization working to build a bicycle friendly Ontario.

Attendees had the opportunity to listen to a presentation by Share the Road, as well as participate in breakout group discussions with Town staff, policy makers, cycling stakeholders, and other members of the public. The objective was to engage with our community members to hear what exactly a Bicycle Friendly Community means to you, and work towards incorporating your comments and ideas into our Bicycle Friendly Caledon workplan.

The community feedback recieved was very helpful and valuable. If you were not able to make it to the workshop but would like to share feedback on cycling in Caledon, please fill out a comment card by clicking on the link above.
