Complete Permit Applications

Effective January 1, 2006 the requirements of the amended Building Code Act and Ontario Building Code (OBC) with respect to submission of 'complete permit applications' came into effect.

This means that where a building permit application has been received and is a 'complete' submission, it will be reviewed within a mandatory review timeline.

An application is considered to be 'complete' when upon submission the package includes the mandatory forms and required drawings as prescribed in the Town's Building By-law, meets all applicable laws and all fees are paid.

If applicable laws have not all been met, then the application is not considered to be complete.
