Applications have been received by the Town of Caledon Development Approval and Planning Policy Department to amend the Town's Official Plan and Zoning By-law as well as to develop a Plan of Subdivision.

Description of Property

The subject lands are located at the north-east corner of Walker Road West and Mountainview Road in Caledon East. The subject lands, known municipally as 89 Walker Road West, comprise an area of approximately 24.91 hectares (61.55 acres).

Purpose and Effect of the Applications

Official Plan Amendment Application

The purpose and effect of the proposed applications are to redesignate and rezone the lands to allow for a 200-lot residential subdivision.

Status

  • Oral Decision issued by the Ontario Municipal Board on September 21, 2015
  • Written Decision issued by the Ontario Municipal Board on October 29, 2015 approving the Official Plan Amendment and Draft Plan of Subdivision, subject to conditions.
  • Written Decision issued by Local Planning Appeal Tribunal  on May 14, 2018 approving the Zoning By-law Amendment as well as revisions to the Draft Plan of Subdivision, subject to revised conditions

  • Pre-Hearing Conference #1: February 5, 2015
  • Hearing: September 21, 2015 to September 25, 2015
    • Oral Decision was issued by the Ontario Municipal Board to approve the Official Plan Amendment, draft approve the Draft Plan of Subdivision subject to a number of draft conditions and defer the Zoning By-law Amendment to September 2016.
