The Great War Flying Museum presents a day filled with World War One living history: airplanes, cavalry, motorbikes and more.

We are excited to announce that after nine years of dedicated volunteer work, the Museum’s full sized replica Fokker D.VII “RK” has been test flown! At Ground To Sky, “RK” will be back in the air for all to see. “RK” joins the museums fleet of five replica aircraft representing England, Canada, America and Germany.

Also, the inaugural “Aero Camping Exposition” brings an inside look at this exciting aspect of aviation.

You won't want to miss:

➢ Model-making demonstrations at the museum's artefact annex.

➢ The Hamilton Signals Corps attempting the difficult task of sending messages using WWI technology to the Museum’s planes as they fly overhead.

➢ Members of the Hamilton Volunteer Cavalry and London 1st Hussars representing the thousands of horses that served in the Great War.

➢ The Peel Regional Police Pipe and Drum Band adding stirring regimental music.
