Selling the harvest rights to your timber is a complex
process and one that may only occur once or twice in your lifetime. In order to harvest in a sustainable manner
and maximize your return, you would be well advised to consult a professional
forester to develop a long term forest management plan for your woodland. Visit www.extranet.mnr.gov.on.ca/mftip/form/mfpa.cfm
to find a contact list of some of the foresters working in Peel. If you are or have been approached by a log
buyer, recognize that your trees have value.
Proceed with caution and exercise your due diligence before signing any
contracts. For additional information
about selling and harvesting your timber contact us at (905) 584-2272 to
receive a complimentary information package including, A Landowner’s Guide to
Selling Standing Timber. This guide is

Beetle and the Emerald Ash Borer. If
