Positions Available
● Tabulator Operator
● DRO (Deputy Returning Officer)
● Revision Officer
● Greeter
Tabulator Operator ($200.00)
Duties:
- assist with setting up and taking down the tabulator machine on Election Day
- assist voters with putting ballots through tabulator
- ensure ballots are accurately tabulated
- ensure tabulator is working properly at all times
- assist voters with special needs as required
- perform other tasks as assigned by Poll Manager
Qualifications:
- previous election experience an asset
- familiarization with automated equipment
- must have successfully completed the Election Training Session
- ability to communicate with all electors in a friendly and courteous manner
DRO ($175.00)
Duties:
- receive blank ballots from Poll Manager
- verify identification provided by elector
- locate and cross off elector’s name from Voters’ List and maintain count of
electors
- administer oaths as required
- initial and issue appropriate ballot to electors
- assist with location set-up, opening and closing of polls
- assist voters with special needs as required
Qualifications:
- previous election experience an asset
- must have successfully completed the Election Training Session
- ability to work under pressure
- ability to locate names/addresses in alphabetical order quickly and
accurately
- excellent customer skills service skills and organizational ability
Revision Officer ($175.00)
Duties:
- hours may be determined by need at voting location
- assist with location set-up, opening and closing of polls
- assist voters with completion of “Application for Revision to Voters’ List”
- approve “Application for Revision to Voters’ List” and direct voter to
appropriate
voting station
- assist voters with special needs as required
- perform other tasks as assigned by Poll Manager
Qualifications:
- previous election experience an asset
- must have successfully completed the Election Training Session
- ability to complete forms neatly, accurately and quickly
- ability to locate names/addresses in alphabetical order quickly and
accurately
- ability to communicate with all electors in a friendly and courteous manner
Greeter ($100.00)
Duties:
- hours may be determined by need at voting location
- greet and assist voters
- remind voters to have proper identification ready and available
- responsible for voter flow throughout the polling location
- check wall maps to ensure voter is at right voting location
- assist voters with special needs as required
- perform other tasks as assigned by Poll Manager
Qualifications:
- previous election experience an asset
- must have successfully completed the Election Training Session
- ability to communicate with all electors in a friendly and courteous manner
