of Administration/Town Clerk ensure Council directives are carried out.

Chief Administrative Officer
The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) assists Council to achieve its
objectives by coordinating the advice and activities of Town staff. As the
senior municipal staff member, the CAO develops long-term corporate objectives
to improve the municipality’s effectiveness, efficiency and economy while also
representing the municipality on matters involving the Province of Ontario,
Greater Toronto Area, Region of Peel, and other intergovernmental affairs.

The Town Clerk’s office is responsible for statutory
duties sanctioned by the Province, responding to requests under the Municipal Freedom of Information and
Protection of Privacy Act, managing the Town’s records including Council
agendas/minutes and by-laws, and acting
as secretariat to Council and its committees, and all follow-up necessary to
effect decisions of Council.
The Clerk is the returning officer for
municipal elections.
