Administration
As the liaison between Council and staff, the CAO and Clerk ensure Council directives
are carried out. Includes Animal
Services, By-law and Property Standards, Communications, Customer Service,
Economic Development, Legislative Services, Parking Control and Provincial
Offences Office.
Building Section
As part of the Planning & Development Department, the Building Section is responsible for
administration/enforcement of the Building
Code Act, Ontario Building Code.
Caledon Library
Caledon Public Library offers seven branches across
Caledon to meet the informational and educational needs of residents and to
promote lifelong learning, literacy and the love of reading.
Corporate
Services
Prepares the Town's
operating & capital budgets; collects municipal, regional and local school
board taxes; and houses the Capital Asset Division, Information Technology
Section, Purchasing Section and Tax Section.
Economic
Development
Attracts and retains business and investment, and provides support to tourism,
promotion and investment.
Fire &
Emergency Services
As the largest volunteer Fire Service in Ontario, this department prides itself
on protecting life, property and the environment.
Human
Resources
Provides human resources advice, counsel and solutions to meet the goals and
challenges facing Town staff.
Legal
Services
An in-house legal team supporting Council and Town staff to implement legal
transactions and protect the Town’s interests.
Planning
& Development
Responsible for Official Plan policy, the Town’s Zoning By-Law,
development applications, the Heritage Resource office and Office of
Environmental Progress
Public
Works & Engineering
Responsible for the design, construction and maintenance of Town roads, storm
sewers, storm water management, streetlights, sidewalks, trails, paths, parks,
sport fields, streetscape and development design standards and assurance.
Recreation
Offers barrier-free, accessible structured and non structured active living and
leisure activities for all ages and abilities.
