Richard,
a 21 year veteran of Council, is in his seventh term in municipal government
having first been elected in 1971 as the Deputy Reeve of the old Village of
Bolton and the County of Peel. In 1974 he was elected as the first Regional
Councillor for Ward 5 Bolton.
Returning to office in 1991, he served four consecutive terms as the
Regional Councillor for Albion and Caledon East (Wards 3 and 4). In 2006, he returned to Council as
Regional Councillor for Wards 3 and 4.
Richard and Ruthe live on the Gore Road in the core area of the Oak
Ridges Moraine along with their collie, Bella.
