The Zoning By-law implements the policies set out in the Town's Official Plan.
The By-law divides the municipality into several land use zones as illustrated on maps within the document. A Zoning By-law specifies the uses permitted (e.g. residential, commercial, industrial etc.) and the development standards (e.g. building size, location, height, etc.) within each zone.
Construction or new development that does not comply with the by-law may not be permitted. The Town may not issue a building permit for development which does not comply with the provisions of the Zoning By-law.
The Town of Caledon Zoning By-law is available on the Town's website, with hardcopy versions available at Town Hall.
