Office of the CAO
The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of the Town of Caledon is appointed by, and reports to, Town Council. The CAO is responsible for the entire corporate body (business units/operations), its officers and employees.
Judy Porter, Executive Director
The Human Resources department partners with Town management and staff to attract, reward, motivate and retain employees in a thriving work environment. The Human Resources department is the primary connection to employment opportunities within the Town.
Laura Johnston, Executive Director
Comprised of the following divisions -- Economic Development and Tourism, Communications, Corporate Projects and Corporate Partnerships and Events -- the Strategic Initiatives Department focuses on community development initiatives. Strategic Initiatives also oversees the Town's Customer Service delivery.
Strategic Initiatives also serves as the Town's liaison to the Ontario Provincial Police and the Caledon Public Library.
Peggy Tollett, General Manager
Community Services includes Building and Support Services, Planning and Development and Policy and Sustainability. It also manages the Official Plan and the Zoning By-law.
The Parks and Recreation Division promotes active living in the Town by providing barrier-free programs and facilities for residents.
Caledon Fire and Emergency Services provides fire prevention, fire control and emergency medical care.
Carey DeGorter, General Manager
Corporate Services consists of Legislative Services, Information Services, Information Technology, Legal Services, and Regulatory Services and By-law Enforcement (which includes animal services).
It also includes the Provincial Offences Court, which processes charges under Provincial statutes and collects fines for offences committed in the Town.
Finance and Infrastructure Services
Fuwing Wong, General Manager
Finance and Infrastructure Services includes Finance, Purchasing and Risk Management, Transportation, Engineering and Capital Projects, Energy and Environment and Facilities (Civic Properties).
It also includes the Roads and Fleet Division, which ensures the Town's roads, sidewalks and streets are in good working order for all residents and commuters. Visit caledon.ca/roads for more information.
The Town Hall Customer Service team is comprised of knowledgeable staff from various town departments.
