Business Licensing

For certain businesses, the Town requires that a licence be obtained.

Information on the application and licensing requirements for each business is outlined in the Town's Licensing and Regulation of Various Businesses By-law, 2013-127.

The application process and appropriate forms for each licence are provided below.

Taxis and Limousines

caledon.ca/taxi

Taxi and Limousine licenses expire annually on October 31.

To renew, please follow these instructions:

Brokers

  1. Download the application (pdf)
  2. Complete the Broker application
  3. Attach the Vehicles affiliated with the Brokerage
  4. Attached the Drivers affiliated with the Brokerage
  5. Bring original documents to Town Hall, 6311 Old Church Road.

Owners

Each Taxi or Limousine must have a separate application form.  

  1. Download the application (pdf)
  2. Complete the Taxi/Limousine application
  3. Include a Certificate of Insurance (pdf)
  4. Bring original documents to Town Hall, 6311 Old Church Road.

Drivers

  1. Download the application (pdf)
  2. Complete the Taxi Driver application
  3. Bring it with all original documents to Town Hall, 6311 Old Church Road.

Tow Trucks

Tow truck licenses expire annually on May 31.

To renew:

Companies

  1. Complete and print the Tow Truck Company Application (pdf)
  2. Complete a Rate Sheet (pdf)
  3. Bring the completed forms and all original documents to Town Hall, 6311 Old Church Road.

Owner

Each Tow Truck must have a separate application form.

  1. Complete and print the Tow Truck Application (pdf) and
  2. Provide a Certificate of Insurance (pdf)
  3. Bring it with all original documents to Town Hall, 6311 Old Church Road.

Driver

  1. Complete the Tow Truck Driver Application (pdf) 
  2. Bring it with all original documents to Town Hall, 6311 Old Church Road.

Donation Boxes

Donation Box licences expire annually on February 28.

To apply for a licence, please follow these instruction:

  1. Review the application requirements as outlined in the Town's Licensing and Regulation of Various Businesses By-law, 2013-127.
  2. Complete the Donation Box Application Form (pdf).
  3. Complete the Property Owner Consent Form (pdf).
  4. Ensure that all required additional material is included with your application.
  5. Bring the completed forms and all required documents to Town Hall, 6311 Old Church Road.
