Caledon Walk of Fame recipient for 2021 announced

Frontline Workers of Caledon stone on the Caledon Walk of Fame

June 22, 2022 – Today the Town of Caledon announced the Frontline Workers of Caledon as the recipients of the Caledon Walk of Fame for 2021 with a new stone honouring this group unveiled in the Trans Canada Trail Pavilion Park.

“After a two-year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is only fitting that we honour our frontline workers on the Caledon Walk of Fame for 2021,” said Caledon Mayor Allan Thompson. “From our first responders to our farmers, grocery store and restaurant staff, and especially our health care providers, we are proud to honour them and thank them for their continued efforts throughout the pandemic.”

The announcement was made via video, with Mayor Allan Thompson helping unveil the latest addition to the Caledon Walk of Fame alongside Dr. Lawrence Loh, Peel Medical Officer of Health. Click here to view the video on our YouTube channel.

About the Caledon Walk of Fame

The Caledon Walk of Fame was initiated in 1999 for the purpose of honouring past and present Caledon residents who have made a significant contribution to the quality of life locally, nationally and internationally. The Caledon Walk of Fame is situated in the Trans Canada Trail Pavilion Park on the west side of Airport Road in Caledon East.
