Culture Days 2026 returns for September 18 to October 4!
In 2025, Caledon once again ranked in the Top 10 in all of Canada overall for Culture Days programming and was #3 nationwide for a small municipality!
Culture Days is a national celebration of arts, culture and heritage culminating in 16 days of free “behind the scenes,” activities to discover Caledon artists, creators, performers and heritage.
Save the date for our flagship events:
- Caledon Creative Arts Festival on September 26, 2026 at Caledon East Community Complex
- Caledon CultureFest October 3, 2026 at the Humber River Centre
- Caledon Studio Tour on October 3 and 4, 2026 all across Caledon
Open Calls for Artist Proposals
Join Caledon in showing off your talent! Caledon is looking for local individuals, performers, artists, workshop leaders and organizations interested in offering free, participatory events as part of the 16-day Culture Days Festival from September 18 to October 4, 2026. Got a great idea but need some help to make it a reality? Share your idea as a proposal and the Town of Caledon can offer partnership funding up to $400.
Proposals could be submitted by singers, dancers, poets, spoken word artists, heritage groups, community organizations, museums, musicians, theatre performers and live painters, all are encouraged to submit a proposal to showcase their talents for all of Caledon to see.
Caledon Studio Tour
Ontario Culture Days is a national celebration of arts, culture and heritage that takes place every Fall across Canada. As an official Ontario Culture Days Hub Municipality, the Town of Caledon invites the public to engage in hands-on activities and behind-the-scenes experiences, emphasizing the vital role that arts and culture play in our communities. The goal of Ontario Culture Days is to provide barrier-free opportunities for the public to participate in arts and cultural experiences—with the aim of inspiring ongoing involvement in the cultural life of local communities.

The Town of Caledon is excited to share the return of the third-annual CaledonStudio Tour on October 3rd and 4th, 2026 as part ofOntario Culture Days. We welcome applications from artists and craftspeople with an established studio within the borders of the Town of Caledon. This is not a juried tour, but an opportunity to showcase your studio and artwork to the public as part of the Town of Caledon’s Culture Days programming. There is no fee to apply. The Caledon Studio Tour gives visitors an exciting peek ‘behind the curtain’ to where art is conceptualized and created. This is a tour of remarkable and beautiful creative spaces around our community. With studios surrounded by forests, farmland, and quaint historic towns, visitors get a fascinating look at spaces and talent normally hidden behind closed doors. |

*The Town of Caledon defines a "working artist" as an artist with a publicly accessible, permanent studio space where they create their art. A "working artist" will have a substantial body of original work (10+ works) available to display and sell during the studio tour weekend. |
